Nail Product of The Week | Cuticle Oil - Astor

Hi, my lovely Friends! Today I want to share with you one of my favorite nail products at the moment. It's the Cuticle Oil from Astor Professional Nail Care.

I got this last winter and fell in love immediately. I've already tried a few cuticle oils but I really like this one and it's probably the best cuticle oil I've ever used. It smells absolutely heavenly and fruity, not chemically at all. The package is in like a regular nail polish bottle, so you can brush it on and it's so much better than dropper or squeeze bottles! The texture is alright, it's a bit too greasy and liquid. It soaks in really quickly, like 5 minutes max. I put the Cuticle Oil onto my cuticle area and whole nail, let it sit for a few seconds and then I rub it in with my fingers.
I have very thick and dry cuticles due to washing dishes without gloves and this product makes my nails and cuticles look so hydrated and healthy. My nails are in the best condition they have ever been thanks to this cuticle oil from Astor.

I definitely recommend this product.

Do you own a cuticle oil? Which one is your favorite?

Review | Yves Rocher Sheer Foundation

Hi, my Lovely Friends! Today I want to introduce you the Sheer foundation of Yves Rocher, that I've been trying the past few weeks.

First I have to say I've only purchased this foundation because of the cheap price and the nice package. £10.50 / CHF 9.90
The tube contains 30 ml of liquid foundation. I think the tube is really handy to use because it's not too big for your makeup bag if you want to carry it around.
There are 3 colors for selection:
01 - Light natural 02 - Medium natural 03 - Matte natural
I got shade 01 in light natural after I tried some samples of this shade. 02 was too dark for me, so I got 01.

But I'm not quite impressed with this foundation. The color turns into an orangy, yellowy colour on the skin. But If you are tanned I'm quiet sure it will look nice on you. What I also noticed is that there is a huge difference between the shades.
This foundation really doesn't give you enough coverage and my skin doesn't look any better with this. The only way I can come up with the foundation is to wear it "on top" of my regular foundation (Mix the color, for a brighter effect). Maybe it's good for a dry skin, mine is a bit oily. But what I really like about this foundation is the smell. It smells really good :)

Also, my final critique is that it offers no coverage where you need it, but for summer it's alright.
Have you tried a Yves Rocher Foundation? If so, what's your position about it?

Review | Lush Fresh Handmade Colour in Dynamic

Hello, lovely Friends! I really like Lush products, because I love the smell of the most things and they are not tested on animals and palm oil free.

Today I want to introduce you to an eyeliner that you can get at Lush: DYNAMIC and to the point. I use this eyeliner actually not only as an eyeliner but also as a cream eye shadow, and for me it works either way really good.

You can choose between 31 beautiful colours.
Maybe you are asking you now, why I choosed the colour Dynamic. Last time when I was there you could spin a wheel with your eyes closed. Then you had to point at one colour with still your eyes closed. And I picked up this lovely warm peachy colour.
The shop assistant explained to me, how I could use it.
I can use it as an eyeliner: I draw a line close to the lashes. A fine line will give a bit more a discreet colour and a thicker line will give boldness to the eye.
Or I use it as a cream eye shadow: I draw a thick line and blend onto the eyelid with my fingers or a brush.

It's a lovely really pigmented colour and once you have it on it lasts a long time and it doesn't move so you don't need to use an eye shadow base. When I apply it, I look really fresh and I kind of glow what I really like.
This colour is really flexible to use, and if you have a darker skin I'm sure it will look even more gorgeous on you because it goes into the skin.

The bottle is really handy to use but the opening at the neck of the bottle is very slim so it's hard to get a brush to fit inside it, if you want to use it as an eye shadow.

You can purchase it for £14.50 or $21 or CHF 20 in every Lush store.
I leave you this link, if you want to buy them online.

What do you think about Lush? Are the products the price worth?
What is your favourite Lush product?

Monthly Favorites | June 2013

Hi, Everyone! I can't believe that June has past away so fast and now it's already July. These are just a few products I've been loving during the month of June and that I want to share with you :)

the Maybelline New York Nail polish - 16 Place Vendôme
I've used this nail polish the last month many many times. It's a pretty red/orange color with little sparkles on it.  I like to use some gaudy colors during summer time and this one from Maybelline is perfect. Actually I've only used this nail polish on my toenails because i don't like to use nude colors on my feet so this one is perfect for me :)
Yves Rocher Shower Bath - Peache
This little bottle is now my second one. I think relaxing baths are the best things after a stressful day to calm down. And I absolutely recommend this product not just because of his smell. It smells obviously like peach and I connect the smell with a greenfield full of pretty flowers. The consistency it's not to liquid and it makes some really big bubbles.

Maybelline New York - the Colossal Waterproof mascara
I love going to the beach or to the swimming pool during summer and that's why I always use a waterproof mascara. The main reason why I use it is that it does not smudge. I hate it when I left the pool and I look pretty much like a zombie because my not-waterproof mascara does not want to stay in place. This mascara is an old one from their last collection I think. I would like to try other waterproof mascaras, which one do you recommend me?
Lancôme Paris  - Juicy Tubes Mood Lip gloss
I can't remember when and where I bought this lip gloss but all I can say it's amazing!
I'm that kind of person who hates  when you put on your lip gloss and after a few minutes the wind blows and your hair sticks totally on your lips. I think I'm not the only one.
I've used this lip gloss a lot and I can't think of one time, when that happend. I've picked it up in the shade 61. Actually it hasn't got a shade only little glitters on it. It's an ultra shiny and hydrating lip gloss and it's worth to buy it!

YSL Rouge Volupté Lipstick - Impetuous Beige
I mentioned this lipstick in my last post. You can read it here if you haven't already.
Like I said this lipstick is amazing! The color is really luxurious and it's perfect for summer.
This lipstick looks really nice if you have a bit of a tan.

Let me know if you've had any new favourites worth trying!
Have a nice day! Kiss Catherine

Review | YSL Rouge Volupté Lipstick in Impetuous Beige 107

Hi, Everyone! So a few weeks ago some friends and me went to Neuchâtel(Switzerland). And of course
I've had to buy some things. One thing I instantly felt in love with is the YSL lipstick.
I've choosed #107 Impetuous Beige.
I have to say the package is the most beautiful package I've ever seen. The gold color makes it really luxurious and that you can see the color even more prettier.

The color Impetuous Beige is a pretty pastel pink shade. I really like to wear this lipstick in summer because it's a   not a dark color and it looks beautiful with a bit of a tan. I haven't try the lipstick in winter, but I think it's going to make me paler, than I actually am.

After appling the lipstick my lips feel soft and they have a shiny finish, what I appreciate because then I don't have to wear lip gloss on top :)

Have you ever tried a lipstick from the Rouge Volupté line? Can you recommend me other colors? :)

Have a nice day! Kiss Catherine
